Wrap Battle: Don't Drop It, Man It's Hot

A few days ago, my friends and I (Naomi, Kiko, Kuya Alec, and Glenne) were invited to try some of the best that indie-cuisine has to offer.

Wrap Battle is the last stop of our Cucina Andare food trip. Paul Wenceslao, the owner, is really generous. Look how many wraps we got! They were sliced in half so just imagine how much more food we had to gobble down.

While enjoying our wraps, we had a talk with Paul on Wrap Battle's story.

The idea came to him one day when he decided that he wanted something different from the usual wraps served by restaurants and food stalls. Different in the sense that other restaurants seem to be too serious and catered to the classier of society.

Paul wanted something whimsical and onorthodox, pretty much like his personality. Hence, the birth of Wrap Battle. He was working as a freelance writer before his business came to be. When I asked him if he was a chef, he said no. That took me by surprise since the flavors were conceptualized by him. He explained that he just threw some stuff around with the aid of the online grapevine, the internet.

Aside from the guaranteed flavorful choices, Paul attracts customers by putting on a show when preparing his wraps. He does so by adding flair and preparing wraps at top-notch performance level. This marketing strategy has become so effective that more people flock to his store, even attracting actress and TV host, Karylle!

Cheers!

Aside from the preparation performance, Paul also likes to post photos of his customers on their Facebook page where all the vanity fair happens.

This wrap business has done battle in Mercato markets, school events and corporate events. Feel free to contact him for your next event! They have flavors ranging from pork, beef, chicken, fish and vegetarian. They offer 8 flavors under these umbrella flavors, the Chicken Pesto being the recommended one.
