I wanna be the girl from Ipanema

Tall and tan and young and lovely, the girl from Ipanema goes walking
And when she passes, each one she passes goes "ahhh.."

Because I swear it's on loop in my WMP and inside my head. I have now downloaded it, courtesy of Kuya Carlos. Yaaaay!!

Anyway, I kinda.. uhh, slept on the floor and woke up at 3:30AM. Damn. After which I started working on my online account layouts. Check out Pixlr O-matic, you will love it. Vintage and all [photo editing] things lovely. Hihi.

Without further adieu..

So much fun to use because the effects look pretty :) Time is now 5:02AM. I'll be leaving in about oh I don't know.. 2 hours? Thank God I don't have classes today. Although, I won't be able to make it to UST's Freshmen Walk. Sigh. Lunch and gala at Greenbelt Makati later. See you there.

Have a good one, everybody :D

Meanwhile..

Hello everyone. I don't know what I've been doing lately because it's all been a stressful surreal blur. On a happy note though, mommy's here! :D

Yay! Hihi. Plus, this week, I only have classes on Wednesday and Saturday. Why is it that I find I've been repeating that an awful lot lately?

Anyway.. My to-do list has gone haywire, I don't know. Which reminds me, I have to fix my USB files. Oh, and I'm planning to buy an iTouch, half with my money and half with mom's. And after I've saved up for a few months, I'll buy a Lumix DMC LX5 or any other compact digital camera that has the functions of an DSLR.

I just simply can NOT go on my tour without a camera in hand.

Hey, you're online and reading this anyway so why don't you check out my sister's blog? :) I designed it myself! :) Go now.

Meanwhile, today is going to be a long day. I have to stay here and study for World Literature and Experimental Psych while my mom and sister are going to Mapua. After, Rob Manila. I need to brush up on my lists.

Apparently, my head is a mess right now.

Tapos.. dahil gusto magshare..

The late national hero Benigno “Ninoy” Aquino, Jr., wrote this poem for his wife, former president Corazon C. Aquino, decades ago. Composer and singer Jose Mari Chan later set the piece into music and included it in his album, Constant Change.

I have fallen in love
with the same woman three times;
In a day spanning 19 years
of tearful joys and joyful tears.

I loved her first when she was young,
enchanting and vibrant, eternally new.
She was brilliant, fragrant,
and cool as the morning dew.

I fell in love with her the second time;
when first she bore her child and mine
always by my side, the source of my strength,
helping to turn the tide.

But there were candles to burn
the world was my concern;
while our home was her domain.
and the people were mine
while the children were hers to maintain;

So it was in those eighteen years and a day.
’till I was detained; forced in prison to stay.

Suddenly she’s our sole support;
source of comfort,
our wellspring of Hope.
on her shoulders felt the burden of Life.

I fell in love again,
with the same woman the third time.
Looming from the battle,
her courage will never fade

Amidst the hardships she has remained,
undaunted and unafraid.
she is calm and composed,
she is God’s lovely maid.

One Love

Aside from the fact that he looks cool, his music rocks my socks. It speaks to me, and to everyone else who listens to him for that matter. The Late Great Bob Marley, everybody! :D Anyway, had to ramble about this because of the title and the meat of this post.

Let's get together and feel alright.

I just found out about this on Twitter, through @katyperry's retweet. Hihi. Click on the photo to go to the link. I feel inspired! She's cancer-stricken, she's young and she has her own Bucket List which she posted online. I keep procrastinating about that. Tsk tsk.

Know her story and read her blog :D Let us support! One love :D

Her name is Mary. She has delayed schooling.

The people at DEOS are helping her achieve her education. Last Tuesday, I had the privilege of  tutoring her simple letters and numbers, though she prefers learning the alphabet. They say she's improving every time she's being taught. Yay! :D

The materials given to me to use. Next time, we'll probably get to use number flash cards. The program I'm volunteering for, by the way, is called "English and Math Lab". So yeah, you probably get the gist of what I'm teaching. Hihi.

Phew. Oh yeahhh! Yesterday, my sister and I toured The Village. Ohmygod, the place was amazing! Photos photos photos everywhere :D After that, we saw X-Men First Class. I F loved the movie! Super fun to watch and the characters were just incredible. A lot of talent and awesomesauce going on. Weeee! :D

Oh. Did I mention? I went crazy in ATC yesterday. Damn, I bought a military jacket from People are People and concealer from The Body Shop. Wenk wenk wenk. There goes my allowance and it's not even almost the end of the month yet. Haha.

No photos yet so maybe next time Have to watch this movie and then "get ready" for class later. Big whoop. Au revior! :)

  12. Reader's Digest May 2011

Look!! Look!! Fabric pastel sticks!! I cannot wait to try them >:) Also, I bought Rome and Paris-inspired tiny sticky notes. I've been dying to get my hands on pads like this ever since I saw my sister's Paris-inspired one from Scribbles.

Reader's Digest May 2011 issue! Everytime I go to National Bookstore, I have to get one. I mean, when I have money of course. I haven't read it yet because my nose is still stuck on my books. I am currently reading "Haroun and the Sea of Stories" by Salman Rushdie as we speak. Pretty good so far. I still have Mel's books to dig in to. Bookworm Heaven, indeed :D

Another item which I have WAY too much of are notebooks. I buy even when I don't them. I hate this. It's a disease of the pretty. The eye-catcher syndrome. The notebooks, I mean. I bought four more!! I have another post for that. Maybe some other time. I'm thinking of selling them. It's not like I can use them all simultaneously :|

There you have it. Dreading this Saturday. Ugh. I don't know what to expect. Huuu. Can't wait for Friday's movie day at ATC + gig at Saguijo. Weeeeee :D

Last few days before summer! Lunch for the time being.
