What a Bus Ride

I was riding the bus home a while ago after meeting up with my dad and older brother in Robinson's Manila.

The bus was speeding down Zapote Avenue in Las Piñas when suddenly, it hit the .. Crap, I'm not entirely sure what the bus driver hit but it was pretty bad because you could see particles of debris on the road and the crash sound was really loud. BANG! CRASH! Okay, it didn't exactly sound like that of course but it was still pretty messed up.

Naturally, this was going to be a long night for the poor bus driver and the more unfortunate workers who were working on the Maynilad Construction on the road. We passengers went down.

WAITTT! That's not what this post is about. Before the crash happened, I was watching the news on TV about the 3 convicted OFWs who were executed in China. I swear, that story brought tears to my eyes. I could not imagine what the families of these OFWs were going through. GMA's Saksi covered what the OFWs were doing before their execution. Oddly enough, it kind of reminded me of Rizal's final moments before his execution. A few minutes spent with the family, prohibition of contact with the OFWs.. You know.

My heart goes out to the loved ones of the three OFWs. May God be with you during these dark and trying times. May He give you strength and guidance. God bless, One Love.

• I like the rain, old movies, the sea, dancing around pretending I'm in a music video, taking pictures.
• I learned a lot from Audrey Hepburn.
• I love meeting new people, learning new things and exploring uncharted territories.
• I live for love, for adventure, and for the Lord.
• I love people who make me laugh. They're such a joy to have around.

A like a lot of things. I give praise where praise is due.

1. When I grow up, I want to be a lawyer.
2. I've always wanted to work as a barista in any chic coffee shop.
3. I want to see the whole Philippines, Pearl of the Orient. If possible, all her 7107 islands! :) I want to visit romantic Paris, beautiful Rome and exciting New York.
4. I want to see any of my works (arts, articles, designs, etc) published for public viewing in exhibits or in the media.
5. I want to be famous. Sans the glitz, glamour and all that whatnot? Sure. But I'd like fame, please.
6. I want to meet Jason Mraz, Katy Perry, Lea Salonga, Howie Severino and Neil Gaiman.
7. I've always wanted to be a pro-photographer (armed with a Lumix!) or a playtime photographer (lomography fun!) or a polaroidee.
8. I've always dreamed of writing, directing and making my own documentary on any interesting subject.
9. I want to be a volunteer for Greenpeace, World Vision, Habitat for Humanity and/or Unicef.
10. I want to learn French, Japanese, Italian, Mandarin and German. Both the languages and the cuisine :))
11. Apple green or red hot VW Beetle or Mini Cooper. Please!
12. LUMIX DMC LX3. Please! Review?
13. I want to earn my very first hard-earned paycheck! Sometime soon...
14. I want to bungee jump, sky dive or rapel down a hundred foot building. I bungee jumped already but not from a very high altitude. Just a bouncy bouncy thing. Sky dive? Nope, not even close.. yet. Rapelling? Yes, but down from a 30 foot high ledge.
15. I want to see all the beautiful places of this world.
16. I want to do Yoga! Really!
17. I want a total wardrobe makeover. I need one :))
18. I want to go on out-of-town (or country! :D) adventures. One with my HS batch mates, another with my block mates and another with my siblings.
19. I want to fly to the moon and play among the stars.
20. I want my Dream Twenty to come true.

About This Blog

1) What's with the name?

"Make It Mine" - It's one of my favorite songs from one of my favorite musicians. "Make It Mine" by Jason Mraz! :) Anyway, I woke up one morning and I heard the instrumental version of this coming from the neighbors.. I think. I suddenly had this crazy idea that the universe was trying to tell me that I should build a blog. And name it...

"mycolorfulgraymatter" - In my opinion, it has a nice ironic ring to it. Gray matter pertains to my mind. Colorful, well, describes me.

2) When did this blog start?

Crap. I started planning on it June or July of last year. I created it around.. Yes last year. I forgot specifically when. I started working on it (again!) on the afternoon of March 28, 2011.

3) Who designed the template?

Me :) It's based on the Blogger theme, Simple. Some of the stuff I put in are grabbed.

4) What is your blog about?

I hate to sound absolutely egocentric but it's basically about me. Plus my daily (or weekly, monthly) adventures, some very important people (hello family and friends) and other unclassifiable rants.

5) Any last words?
