A few weeks ago

It's been about a few weeks since the UST Behavioral Science Society general assembly but I just felt like sharing this. I wore a black dress with a tulle skirt and a yellow cardigan; all with a gold necklace, watch, and a bracelet. It was really hot then so I borrowed Kiko's polo shirt and replaced it with my sister's thick yellow cardigan. This is what went down:

I don't know, but it actually looks pretty good. Haha. It looks like a lab coat but I think it just has to be paired with the right stuff. Mine could use a little more improvement but overall I think it's okay. I'm not trying to start a trend or anything because that's not my thing and me, trending? Really? I don't think so. Anyway, enough about that because I have something else to talk about that happened several weeks back: The 33rd Manila International Book Fair!

I forgot when I went there but it was a week-long event from September 12 to 16 and held at the Mall of Asia Complex. I was pretty big with a lot of stalls from different publication houses, titles, stores, etc. It's every book worms haven. I wish I had more money though because I really wanted to buy a lot of books and reading materials. Just the sight of all the books made me drool.

I bought this shirt at the Ayala Museum Library stall. It's a "Sketches by Jose Rizal" shirt. I would absolutely LOVE to go to an exhibit at the Ayala Museum some time.

Because Tahanan Books were a part of my childhood and Lola Basyang's stories have always fascinated me. I will always be a kid at heart and reading their books will always rekindle my youth. I mean, the side of me much younger than I physically am.

I can't help it! Their memo pads are so cool. And with their package containing 1 calendar pad, 1 to-do list pad, 2 little memo pads and a slightly bigger one, at P250, I just had to!

Every post is always late. Too bad for lack of time and stress. Oh well. September 2012 trip to Bangkok, Thailand POST in a few days...

ATTIRE: Fashionably Chic

Last May 14 2011, I attended the Philippine Fashion Week Holiday 2011 Spring Collection show! *applause*

I saw it with JP and two of his Beda friends, Cheska and Daniel. I got to score invites because my good friend, JP is the son of one of the designers, JunJun Cambe. As usual, I was a loser who didn't bring a decent camera and had to rely on her cellphone to take shots.

This year's show was so much fun to watch. Last year, I only got to see two designers' collections. Also, this year, they implemented some drama to the runway models' walks AND with matching music to suit the style of each designer. I mean wow, they even featured music from Moulin Rouge!! :) (WHAAAT)

Emily Sy. ETHEREAL.
The models looked like fairies because they were all wearing fairy dresses! :D I absolutely adored her collection. From the cocktails to the floor sweeping gowns, it was all magic.

Joyce Pilarsky. FRESH.
Started and ended with a bang. Ohh, wow. I would buy her entire collection if I could. It was all swish, sashay, swish, swish :D It does remind me of Moulin Rouge.

JunJun Cambe. FIERCE.
As in literally, FIERCE. Haha. His style was sort of tribal this year. I love love loved the models' hair!! Teased to perfection. :D Amazonians invaded the runway like woah.

Michelle Lim. COLORFUL.
When the models entered the runway in a sort of triangular position, instant splash of color. They collectively looked like a rainbow, no joke. Everything was so bright and bubbly :D

We got freebies this year! (Well, sort of) The official programme plus some fliers that entitle you to discounts in select boutiques and stores. Yay! Better than nothing, right?

This was what I wore:

And this is my "artistic" (yeah right) imitation of it:

I hope I get to see the next one again :D I am sooo wearing heels next time because I easily get lost in the crowd with this petite frame.

Anyway, hung out with my younger sister, Barbs (her friend) and JP back at our condo. We went to the rooftop deck and the pool area! :D Fun day. Exhausting. But very fun nonetheless. :)

Fierce Saturday

My sister and I went to Alabang Town Center last Saturday to see Mr. Nigel Barker, noted fashion photographer, and Miss J Alexander, runway diva extraordinaire! :)

Yaaah. When you say their names, it's like you feel obligated to mention their titles too. Haha.

To be a part of the book-signing activity, you have to buy any one of their books. My sister got Nigel's and I, Miss J's.

Since Nigel Barker was faster in book signing, my sister was able to get a photo op with the beautiful Sarah Meier! Awww :(

Miss J's autograph! :D

That's my blockmate, Josh. We're both south-siders! :D

Nigel Barker's autograph!

It's Mika Lagdameo! :)

The book-signing stubs

Photo op with Miss J! Oh, did I mention? I got to hug her too! :D

I had fun! They were so funny. I have always been an avid fan of Nigel Barker. Besides the fact that he oozes charisma, and that he's a photographer, he's very articulate.

And Miss J? Ohmy. Her confidence is just. There are no words. She's not one of those loud gay types who practically elongate and shout out everything they say. She is reserved. Reading her book made her all the more interesting.

I'm nearly done with Miss J's, "Follow the Model". Such a fantastic read. I'd recommend it to anyone to wants to be someone. Will go for "The Beauty Equation" next. Hihi.

I am such a fan girl :|

Unlike any other :O

Is it the accent or the eyes? Hmm.

Yay! I'm excited :D Hopefully, I'll be seeing them this Saturday. Weeeee :) I am an avid fan of ANTM. I have a huge crush on Nigel Barker and I daresay Miss J is the epitome of fine, fresh, FIERCE. Hihi. So. Yes, I have got to go.

I'll be relying on my cellphone camera yet again. Or hopefully, my sister will go with me so we can use her DSLR.

In other news, TODAY I DON'T FEEL LIKE DOING ANYTHING! :)
